Kevin is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University and Seattle University School of Law. He is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Washington and admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, Kevin has appeared pro hac vice in courts in Louisiana and California. Kevin has represented insurers and insureds in coverage for 16 years. These claims involve personal and commercial auto policies, commercial general liability, professional liability, and E&O insurance. Kevin has also advised and represented risk pools, insurers, and insured in matters ranging from automobile/bus accidents to catastrophic landslides. His practice also includes construction defect disputes, personal injury claims, commercial leases, and significant property damage disputes.

He has successfully represented, insurers, insureds, and private clients in arbitration, mediation, litigation, and on appeal in a wide variety of cases. These cases include but are not limited to successfully arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that the trial court properly dismissed retaliation and discrimination claims brought by former police claims before the Ninth Circuit and United States Supreme Court. Kevin’s experience also includes a police officer shooting case and a school discipline case, among others. Additionally, Kevin has appeared in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as a specially appointed county prosecutor. Kevin frequently advises insurers on coverage issues involving multiple coverage lines including auto, trucking, commercial, E&O, personal, municipal, and reinsurance.

Kevin lives in Seattle, Washington with his son and fiancée. When not working, he enjoys time with his family, cooking, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
