
JAKE HENKE

Jake is Seattle-area native who sought warmer weather for his undergraduate degree, attending Chapman University in Southern California, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Strategic and Corporate Communications and a minor in Law, Justice and Social Control. He then moved back to the Pacific Northwest to attend the University of Washington School of Law. Throughout law school Jake studied several business focused topics, but expanded his interest and understanding of litigation practice as an extern in the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division I.
In 2025, Jake accepted his new role as a Senior Associate. His practice includes insurance coverage and litigation of first- and third-party disputes involving both contractual and extra-contractual claims, including bad faith, negligence, and violations of the Washington State Consumer Protection Act and Insurance Fair Conduct Act. Jake’s experience includes coverage and litigation disputes arising from commercial general polices, business owners, automobile, and homeowners insurance policies. His coverage and litigation experience further includes disputes arising from umbrella and excess insurance policies and coverage disputes in the context of additional insureds. Jake’s litigation practice includes cases before the Washington State Court of Appeals, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and Oregon State and Federal Court disputes.
In his free time, Jake enjoys (and frequently, does not enjoy) golfing, as well as fishing, watching bad 80’s action movies and yelling at his favorite sports teams on TV.
