Born and raised in the Midwest, Matt attended the University of Kansas, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Spanish. He then moved to Chicago and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. During law school, Matt pursued courses and extracurriculars in various areas of law, but he was always drawn to legal writing. In his second year of law school, he authored a research article that was published in an edition of Loyola’s Annals of Health Law & Life Science Journal.
In his free time, Matt enjoys reading, listening to music (anything except country), watching movies, and spending time with his cat. He is also a die-hard, Royals, Chiefs, and Jayhawks fan.
